add a little extra to your workplace
Whether you’re upgrading an existing coffee facility or introducing one for the first time, Millsons Vending can help you find the perfect coffee machine suited to your business in Sussex.
Choosing between a fresh milk and a powdered milk coffee machine comes down to three things: how good you want the drinks to taste, how many cups you pour each day and how much upkeep your team can take on. Fresh milk gives a creamier, coffee-shop-style drink. Powdered milk is cheaper to run, keeps for longer and copes better with heavy demand.
We supply and maintain both kinds of coffee machine across Kent and the South East. Here is how they compare.
A fresh milk machine draws real milk from a chilled fridge unit, then heats and froths it as each drink is made, much like a barista’s steam wand. A powdered milk machine mixes a dried milk ingredient with hot water instead. Both can be bean to cup coffee machines that grind fresh beans for every cup, so the difference is in the milk.

Fresh milk produces a smooth, silky foam that is hard to tell apart from a high street latte. If your staff pick up a coffee on the way to work, or you want to impress visitors in reception, this is usually the better choice.
Many fresh milk machines can also serve oat, soya or almond milk alongside dairy, which more of your staff will expect each year.
The catch is the extra care. Fresh milk has to be kept cold, topped up and replaced before it goes off, and the milk system needs cleaning every day. Some newer machines, such as the Rhea rhMM2.v+, have a sensor that picks up poor-quality or out-of-date milk.
Powdered milk commercial coffee machines are cost-effective, low-maintenance and well suited to busy sites such as warehouses, factories and schools. There is no fridge to fill and no sour milk to pour away on a Monday morning. Ingredients last for months, the cost per cup is lower and the hundredth drink of the day tastes the same as the first.

Some businesses choose both, with a fresh milk machine in the meeting area and a powdered milk machine on the shop floor.
We have spent more than 50 years helping workplaces find the right coffee machine, and every machine we supply comes with a Brita water filter as standard. We look at your headcount, daily demand and space first, then recommend a machine we can fully manage or you can run yourself.
